Salcombe Rugby Club is celebrating the success of its new junior rugby sessions after a great debut season.

Little Nippers is rugby – simple and fun play sessions for two- to four-year-olds which teaches the skills needed to catch, pass, kick, and run with the ball; the sessions also encourage the children to respect each other.

Little Nippers’ Leah Coles said: “We have had a great first season, it’s been so wonderful to watch them all improve every week and I’m amazed they stuck it out whatever the weather, turning up with enthusiasm ready to play and learn.

“We are very excited for next season and look forward to welcoming some new faces to SRFC.”

For more information on Little Nippers and to sign up for next season, contact the club at at [email protected] or via Facebook @SalcombeRFC. Next season will be starting on Friday, September 7, and the club will be recruiting for all age groups in the minis and junior section from five years.
