Stoke Gabriel 59 all out,
Kingsbridge 62-0;
Stoke (0 points) lost to Kingsbridge (20) by 10 wickets
Kingsbridge made the short trip to Stoke on Saturday and on a rare occasion were asked to field first on losing the toss.
It was a decision Stoke were soon to regret. The early overs showed no sign of things to come as Stoke moved to 19-0.
However, once Peach made the initial breakthrough, wickets tumbled.
Rosewarne produced his best spell of the season with a burst of four wickets for six runs, removing the danger men.
At 33-5 the writing was on the wall. It was a good job for Stoke that some variable bounce provided a boost to the extras as they topped the scoring with 17.
Peach finished his spell with a wicket ending with 2-25. Carr's four overs saw him take 3-2.
Rosewarne couldn't quite get his fifth wicket, finishing with 4-21 and skipper de Silva came on to bowl two balls, his customary opening wide and second-ball wicket wrapping the innings up.
Stoke opened with all guns blazing. Extras, runs off the bat, overthrows... all flowed freely as James Ford (23no) and James Westlake (22no) took Kingsbridge to victory with a flurry of boundaries inside seven overs.
The match ball was sponsored by Paul Carpenter Associates.
Meanwhile, the second XI had a less pleasant time of it, suffering a loss in their derby game against Ivybridge.
Eddie Church top-scored for Kings with 42 as they could only manage 123 all out, with Ivybridge making 99-3 to win on run rate. Kings earned just two points from this loss.
