Bigbury Golf Club

A great last-minute bonus to finish the year for two of our members writes Rosemary Sharps.

Congratulations go to both Linda Hanbury, who while playing a round of golf with friends scored a hole in-one, as did John Bamfield, who scored his while playing in a foursomes competition, which was held prior to the seniors Christmas lunch.

Both Linda and John were playing in atrocious conditions, making their achievements extra special. For Linda this is her first hole-in-one at Bigbury, but brings her overall tally up to four. John, however, is now the recipient of his first hole-in-one certificate.

Congratulations also go to Martyn Scarterfield and Diggory Vowles, who last weekend played against Dave Moulding and Steve Ryder in the final of the men’s winter league and on winning the match came away with the Lawson Cup.
