We have just returned from a wonderful holiday in Thurlestone.

Although not local, we have family nearby and visit regularly and love the South Hams.

On the last day of our holiday my children Rosie, nine, and Tom, seven, decided to pick up the litter from the footpath to the beach from the beach car park –?at the top of the golf club car park.

We were horrified by the amount of plastic wrappers, bottles and dog poo bags that were discarded on the footpath. What a shame!

The children felt that notices to deter people from leaving litter and perhaps provision of a bin may help conserve the beauty of the area and help the wildlife.
