FIREFIGHTERS from Buckfastleigh and Ivybridge prevented an unattended bonfire from getting out of control near Loddiswell over the Bank Holiday weekend.

Buckfastleigh Fire Station reports: 'We were called to assist our colleagues from Ivybridge at a large unattended bonfire near Loddiswell, a hosereel jet was used to extinguish the fire before both appliances returned home to station.'
