The brother of a teenage girl found dead after vanishing from a bus stop has led the tributes in a heartbreaking statement.
Heartbroken Lee McLeod, 20, has led the tributes to his ’little sister’ Bobbi-Anne, 18, after her body was found close to a beach at Bovisand in the South Hams, nearly 10 miles from her home.
Hundreds of people had launched a search for the missing teen after she was last seen waiting at a bus stop in Plymouth, Devon, to go and meet her boyfriend - but never got off the other end.
Her headphones and tobacco were found at the scene and her phone was handed into police - heightening concern for her safety.
And the worst fears of family and friends were confirmed after police revealed a body had been found during searches close to the beach in Bovisand last night. (Tues)
Leading the tributes today (Wed), her brother Lee posted a photo of the two of them together as children.
Alongside it, he wrote: "Until we meet again sis. I love you.
"You didn’t deserve this. Such a beautiful and talented girl and to have you as a my little sister.
"The adventure and journey we had been on will always be treasured.
"Now go rest easy."
Formal identification has yet to be carried out but the family of Bobbi-Anne have been informed of the development.
Two men, aged 24 and 26 from Plymouth have been arrested on suspicion of murder and remain in police custody at this time.
The death of Bobbi-Anne has left the city in mourning with further tributes being paid by hundreds of friends, family and representatives of Plymouth.
Close friend and neighbour, Amanda Isaacs, also paid tribute after setting up a GoFundMe fundraiser, which has already raised thousands of pounds for Bobbi-Anne’s family.
She wrote: "Hi my name is Amanda. I am a close friend and neighbour off Bobbi and her family. Unfortunately it has been confirmed after three days of searching she has sadly been taken from us.
"She was a beautiful young girl only aged 18 with her whole life ahead of her. As you can imagine her family are going through hell, so would like this fundraiser to even help take the stress away off all this even if it really is just a little bit of help.
"She deserves the best send off as the beautiful girl she come into this world. R.I.P sleep tight with nan and grandad. You’re with the angels now."
Hundreds of people have already donated to the fundraiser, with many leaving touching tributes.
The Facebook group set up to coordinate the search was told of the development.
Ms Isaacs wrote: "It’s with absolute sadness I am posting this. Please respect family privacy at this time. R.I.P Bobbi we love you loads and always will."
Her post prompted hundreds of tributes within minutes.
One local said: "What a cruel world we live in. Absolutely devastated for all her friends and family.
"Like most, I’ve followed this from the start of her going missing and I really hoped this wouldn’t be the outcome. Sleep tight you beautiful girl, I’m so sorry."
Another friend added: "I can’t believe it. RIP Bobbi, you beautiful girl. Absolutely heartbreaking.
Another said: "Absolutely heartbreaking my thoughts are with all her family and friends and her poor boyfriend . There’s simply no words that can help with the pain but please please hold on to everyone’s love xxxxx"
Another said: "Soo sooo devastating I can’t believe. Absolutely beautiful and amazing girl. You will be loved forever bobs and missed beyond words can describe."
Another said: "Absolutely heartbreaking. So not the ending we were all praying for. My thoughts and prayers are with Bobbi’s loved ones. R.I.P sweetheart."
