The distraught owners of a missing dog are pleading for her safe return after she vanished without a trace two nights ago.

Owner Sian Robson said she fears pet pooch Sark was snatched during a break-in.

The six-year-old black labrador disappeared from her home in Newton Ferrers on Tuesday, July 16.

Sian said she arrived back at around 7:30pm to find the front door unlocked and Sark missing.

Sark is described as small, with a white chin, a couple of brown patches on her head and a permanent wrinkle on her nose.

Devon and Cornwall Police said it was investigating reports of a black labrador being taken from a property in the village.
