POLICE are investigating after a window of the village hall in Loddiswell was smashed and a car was broken into.

Two pieces of a concrete slab were thrown through two windows in the village hall overnight between Friday night and Saturday morning - December 9 and 10 - and a car was broken into and some items were stolen.

Sgt Dave Green, based in Kingsbridge, said: ‘We have had reports of the village hall windows being smashed and have had one report of a car being entered, but we believe there may be more.

‘It is very important that you report it to the police if you suffer a crime as it means we can establish any links or patterns and will help us investigate.
