A MAN was arrested Malborough on Christmas Day following a robbery at Henri Lloyd in Salcombe.
A spokesman for the police in Kingsbridge said: ‘On December 25, a man from Malborough was arrested on suspicion of burglary following the overnight break-in at Henri Lloyd, Salcombe. He has been released on bail pending further investigations.’
The break in occurred at 3.15am on Thursday, December 22, when at least two white men were seen to have used hammers to smash the glass-fronted door to the shop in Fore Street and stole what was described as ‘lots of stock’ before driving away in a vehicle believed to be a dark blue Ford Ka.
It is understood that the raiders deliberately targeted clothes as the till remained untouched.
Police would like to hear from anybody who saw anything suspicious or has been offered any items of Henri Lloyd clothing for sale.
