A man is facing trial at Plymouth Crown Court after denying having an imitation firearm in a public place and assaulting three young people.
Gerrard Peter Sheridan, 45, of Kingsway Park, Kingsbridge was sent for trial after appearing at Torquay Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, April 19. He is due to appear in the crown court on Monday, May 22 this year.
Sheridan is charged with having an imitation firearm without lawful authority or reasonable excuse at Quayside Leisure Centre on December 17 last year. The weapon in question is described as an M4 carbine 6mm calibre electric BB rifle.
He is also charged with three counts of assault in Kingsbridge on the same date.
Sheridan denies all charges.
