A DRINK-driver found to be in possession of illegal drugs has been banned from driving and given a community order.

Torquay magistrates were told yesterday, Thursday, that Graham Farrelly, 38, of Fore Street, Kingsbridge, was found to have 109mcgs of alcohol in 100ml of breath after he was arrested in West Charleton on July 3 – the legal limit is 35mcgs.

He was also found to have 0.69g of cocaine and 0.12g of amphetamine on the same date.

Farrelly was banned from driving for 40 months, told to undertake 100 hours of unpaid work as part of a 12-month community order and ordered to pay £85 costs plus an £80 victim surcharge.
