Record numbers of entrants for the Kingsbridge Fair Week 10k and 1.2k fun run made it a spectacle to remember last Thursday.
The fun run saw 113 competitors line up to take on the 1.2k course, with 10-year-old Max Fergusson of Kingsbridge taking a home victory in a time of seven minutes and 34 seconds.
Three members of Dartmouth Amateur Athletic Club juniors took part.
With Xavier Bly being first back for the club, coming in a good fourth place, closely followed by Finley Roberts and Scarlet Lucy.
The always competitive 10k event saw Simon Longthorpe of Torbay AAC take victory in 34.54, closely followed by Lee Turner and Pete Monaghan of the same club. The first male vet home was Pete Waumsley of Tamar Trotters, who finished fourth overall in 37.04. Tamar Trotters also provided the first female home, Rebecca Ezra, who crossed the line in eighth place in 42.10.
The unattached Sebastien Wheeler was the top junior in a time of 46.06 and first female vet was Sharon Daw of East Cornwall Club in 49.01.
