Two pairs and a trio from Eagles Acrobatics in Kingsbridge competed in a friendly invitational competition in Honiton.
The day-long event saw clubs from across the UK competing against one another including clubs from London coached by former world champions and members of Britain’s Got Talent winners Spelbound.
This was Emily Jeffrey, aged 11, and eight-year-old Stokenham Primary School pupil Olivia Steer’s first competition and they took home a bronze medal.
Kingsbridge Community College student Scarlet Postance, 11 and Kingsbridge Community Primary School’s Freya Charlton, aged 10, also took part in their first competition together.
Meanwhile trio Milly Fisher and Ellie Steer, both 11 and at KCC, and 10-year-old Ella Hassall, at KCPS, achieved their highest score to date.
Hannah Penman, Eagles Acrobatics head coach, said: ‘Both pairs and the trio did very well by either taking part in their first competition or achieving a personal best score.
‘My thanks goes to Rhianna Jones, Jo Jones and Jess Pearman for coaching the girls so well.
‘Everyone worked really hard in the lead up to the competition and I am proud of the way they are progressing.’
All seven gymnasts, plus many others from the club, will be taking part in London Festival of Gymnastics 2015 on the weekend of October 17 and 18.
