Get ready for all of your favourite traditional fete-and-show events on Saturday, because Chillington Show and Dog Show promises a day of fun for everyone.

Held at the Chillington Village Hall and playing fields on Saturday, September 8, the show starts at 11.30am and finishes at 5.30pm.

The show includes an arts and crafts fair, a classic and vintage automobiles and machinery display, cream teas, a hog roast and barbecue, and of course, a beer tent by South Hams Brewery and Pimm’s.

Entertainment will be provided by Fiona’s Fancy Feet putting on a demonstration, as well as a bouncy castle, face-painting, bungee run, hook-a-duck, soft archery, coconut shy and storytelling by Kingsbridge Library.

For those partaking in the dog show, prizes include a pet portrait by local artist Alyson Cadd and a dog grooming session by Forget-me-not.

Also to look forward to are The Big Raffle, which will have three individual draws throughout the day, and an art display by Stokenham schoolchildren.

So, come one, come all! And why not make a day of it? Leave your cars at home if there is no parking, and drop-offs are possible for mobility issues in the hall carpark.
