Acclaimed concert pianist Jonathan Delbridge will be performing at the sixth Ken Reed Memorial Concert in Holy Trinity Church, Salcombe in October.

When the church was re-ordered, Ken Reed oversaw the changes to preserve the building’s acoustics and maintain it as a place for musical concerts.

There is now an annual memorial concert to celebrate Ken’s achievement, and this year, Jonathan Delbridge will perform on piano and organ a programme which he has titled ‘A Musical Celebration of England’.

Mr Delbridge is well known for his exciting and varied concert programmes on both piano and organ. He is a versatile musician, performing major classical works, jazz standards and his own improvisations. He likes to interact with the audience, giving background information to the pieces performed injected with humour.

Mr Delbridge performs at a wide range of small and large venues, including the Royal Albert Hall, York Minster, Norwich Cathedral and Plymouth University.

As an accompanist he has worked with many leading professionals, choirs and ensembles. He teaches piano, organ and musical theory and in his spare time is organist at his local church.

Jonathan Delbridge will be performing at the Ken Reed Concert on Saturday, October 14. The church will be open for canapes and bubbly from 6.15pm, with the concert beginning at 7pm.

Tickets are available from Kingsbridge and Salcombe Tourist Information Centres, Bonningtons in Salcombe and the Holy Trinity Church office.
