A Kingsbridge man has appeared in court charged with five sex offences - some of them involving a child.

Rowan Sutton, aged 30, of West Charleton Court, faces charges of taking and making indecent images of a child, intentionally sexually touching a woman and engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child for the purpose of sexual gratification.

The charges relate to alleged incidents between 13 March and 1 April 2025.

Sutton appeared before Newton Abbot Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 27 November, via video link from HMP Exeter, and entered no plea to all counts.

No application for bail was made. Magistrates remanded Mr Sutton into custody, and he is due to appear at Plymouth Crown Court on 6 January 2026.
