In conjunction with the South Devon AONB, Plastic Clever Salcombe’s Anna Turns has designed and produced a new leaflet about plastic pollution campaigns in the South Hams and are launching the South Devon Plastic Pollution Network to link them up.

With support from a wide range of nonprofit organisations and bipartisan encouragement from councillors across South Devon, the Totnes-based Bioregional Learning Centre, Devon Recycling Network (DCRN) and South Devon Area of Outstanding National Beauty have teamed up with Anna to form the loosely structured South Devon Plastic Pollution Network.

It displays the local efforts made to address single-use plastics such as Plastic Clever Salcombe and various plastic free communities across the South Hams spurred on by the government recognition of the problem and strong national campaigns.

It also provides tips on how to think more responsibly about disposable plastic and avoiding everyday use of single-use plastic items.

The leaflets - which are all 100 per cent recycled paper or shareable digital poster - are available to the general public from the Kingsbridge and Salcombe tourist information centres and various businesses and clubs.

To get in touch with Anna to display them in your business, club or community group, contact her at [email protected], or contact Ben Bryant from DCRN at [email protected] or phone 07510 916384.
