A Neighbourhood Development Plan has reached its formal pre-submission consultation stage, giving the community the chance to have their say.

Salcombe’s Neighbourhood Development Plan has reached this key part of the process which means the residents of Salcombe can have their say in the planning policies that will effect the town for years to come.

This six week consultation period is a crucial phase in the process and the best chance for the community to influence the content of the plan and the policies.

A 10 page executive summary of the 72 page plan has been produced to be sent to every residential address in the town, hopefully by mid February.

A response form will be included with a pre-paid envelope to encourage responses. However, responses can also be posted directly onto the website www.salcombeplan.org where a full copy of the development plan can also be found.

The plan is to make hard copies of the development plan available that will be readily accessible to the community in strategic locations around the town. In addition, there will be a number of drop-in sessions to be held in key locations around the town.

A further announcement on dates for the locations and drop-in sessions will shortly be available on the neighbourhood plan website.
