Does this mean the plight of ordinary working people is at last being recognised as a serious problem that needs to be addressed? Council plans an affordable housing boost, Gazette, August 11.
I refer to Kingsbridge mayor Cllr Chris Povey – for whom I have ever-growing respect – and the town council, who are trying to create a neighbourhood plan that will look at the “critical needs of the town” in particular “appropriately priced housing for people working and living in the local ecocomy”.
I join with them in urging anyone with the skills, time, energy or land to throw their hat into the ring to bring this plan to fruition sooner rather than later. They certainly have my support.
