Local police and the Salcombe Harbour Authority will be holding a marine awareness day in Whitestrand car park, Salcombe next Wednesday.

Other agencies will be attending, including the Marine Management Organisation, the Inshore Fisheries and Conservation Authorities and the Coastguard.

Advice will be available regarding safety on the water, coastal paths and current laws in relation to fishing in our areas.

Devon and Cornwall Police will also be selling their outboard motor covers, and there will be a number of property marking kits available for boat owners, kindly provided by the Salcombe Harbour Authority.
