A man who said his “wish came true” when he was generously given the chance to finally see the Blackpool Illuminations, is having to give away his tickets.

Steve Grey, Kellaton, contacted us last week when Mr and Mrs Davies from Noss Mayo offered him tickets to Blackpool for himself and his son Aiden. Aiden, who is fighting cancer, is now too ill to travel and Steve is having to give away his tickets away.

Steve saw an article in the Gazette about two tickets, worth £378, for a Majestic Holiday to the Blackpool Illuminations, with the seller offering them for half price.

“I just had to go for it and take [my son] Aiden with me because with his cancer he can’t go out and do things. I wanted to share my dream trip with Aiden.” he said at the time.

Today, Tuesday, September 12, Steve got back in touch with some sad news: “My son Aiden has got to ill to travel to Blackpool, so I want to give the tickets away so they get used.

“The two tickets are for a Majestic Coach Holidays to Blackpool Illuminations. The coach picks up at Lidl Plympton on Monday, September 18, and returns Friday, September 22, four-nights stay at the Savoy Hotel with bed, breakfast and evening meal included.”

Steve is giving away the tickets on a first come, first served basis and you can contact him on 01548 511262.
