A Christmas coffee morning put on by a funeral directors raised £300 for a local cancer support charity.
Kingsbridge Funeral Directors recently presented a cheque for £300 to the Kingsbridge Triangle Centre after it raised the funds through its Tree of Remembrance at Christmastime.
The team at the Triangle Centre took the time to say a “huge thanks” to everyone for their support.
Last December, KFD bought a real Christmas tree to put on display in the service chapel and thought it would be a good idea to hold a coffee morning for the people who had lost a loved one in the previous two years with coffee, mince pies and mulled wine.
The directors sent a tag to each individual who could then write a personal message and hang it on the tree on the morning.
A funeral directors representative said it was a lovely morning where people who had lost a loved one could come together and socialise.
The Triangle Centre is open every Tuesday from 10am-4pm, and is staffed by experienced cancer nurses, therapists and trained volunteers.
The centre aims to help patients and their families navigate through their treatment and recovery.
