I have lived and worked in many towns in England and have always purchased the local newspaper. I must ­congratulate you and your team on producing the best local newspaper I have ever read.

Although I now live in the Midlands, I worked in Salcombe for several months in 1971. I subscribe to the Gazette as I wish to keep in touch with your local news. It makes excellent reading every week.

I am a member of the Disabled Photographers Society and we collect unwanted ­photographic equipment, including cameras.

Some cameras can be ­adapted for the disabled, others for educational purposes, and many are sold at the Photography Show at Birmingham’s NEC. In March we raised approximately £8,500.
