LODDISWELL Primary’s Forest School area was vandalised over the Easter holidays but is now back to its former glory thanks to a selfless parent.
Chris Moore, of CJ Moore Ltd, took it upon himself to replace the broken benches with stronger wood and make sure the pupils could continue to enjoy their Forest School lessons.
Sarah Moore, Chris’s wife, said the vandals had ‘jumped on the planks and snapped three of them’ and that they ‘had tried to burn them’, but weren’t successful.
‘It’s such a shame’ Sarah continued, ‘its lovely up there and the kids go up every Wednesday morning.’
Chris then took it upon himself to go up there on a Sunday, with his two sons Max and Tommy, remove all the broken wood and replace the benches with stronger planks.
Sarah-Jane Baker, Head of School at Loddiswell Primary, said: ‘Its lovely that parents are so supportive and Chris has made sure that the children have a space to enjoy being outside. It was completely off his own back, thank you.’
