A LOCAL lady has decided to cut off her hair in aid of the Little Princess Trust - a charity that provides real-hair wigs to children who have lost their hair through cancer treatment and other illnesses.

Paulina Flore Borja, who works at Cafe Decks in Kingsbridge, told the Gazette: ‘I am doing this because I have too much hair, and thought ‘what if I didn’t have any hair.’ This made me look into donating my hair and I found the Little Princess Trust.

‘I have a four year old son, and the thought of him being sick scares me to my core. When I heard about the trust, it moved me and gave me a reality check to stop complaining and help others.’

The trust has given away over 2,000 free wigs to children - one wig uses three people’s hair and costs £350 to make.

Paulina’s aim is to raise £350 to cover the cost of one wig. She will be donating her hair too, cutting it off in public at Cafe Decks on Saturday, November 14 at 2pm.
