DURING the closure of the road at Torcross, the Coleridge Bus was the only service still running.
In the Gazette on February 12, we reported that there was no bus service running along the A379, as Stagecoach buses were not in service between Kingsbridge and Torcross after the road was closed due to the sea wall collapsing.
We now understand that the Coleridge Bus continued to provide its usual service from Stokenham through to Kingsbridge.
Creonne Baker, Coleridge Bus trustee, said: ‘As we were still able to run, we collected some new passengers, some of whom have become regulars now. We would like to remind everyone that there is an alternative to using a Stagecoach bus and The Coleridge Bus tries, where possible to provide a door to door service, four days a week.’
Anyone can use The Coleridge Bus, they just need to know in advance that you need to be picked up, so they know where to stop. For details phone: 01548 580999 or ask for details at the Kingsbridge Information Centre on the Quay or visit: www.coleridgebus.co.uk.
