Children and parents alike had great fun at the Slapton All-Stars first summer multi-sports session.
A fun hour of games, tag and ball skills was followed by healthy snacks in the sun.
The free event is supported by Slapton Parish Council, and the goal of these activities is to bring together families from the village and surrounding area to participate in physical activity as well as promoting use of the Recreation Ground.
Julie Hinder, organiser, said: “It is aimed at primary aged children, including those about to start foundation stage, but older and younger siblings are very welcome, as are children visiting the area. All children must be accompanied by a parent or carer during the session.”
Ben, 5, enjoyed his day, saying: “My favourite bit was doing tag because you get their tail off and because it was so good.”
The next Slapton All-Stars session will be on Sunday, August 19, from 10am until 11am. It is free and will be held on Slapton Village Recreation Ground; in the Village Hall if it’s raining.
