POLICE are appealing for witnesses after the top-of-the-range Henri Lloyd clothes shop in Salcombe was burgled in the early hours of Thursday morning.
At 3.15am, at least two white men were seen to have used hammers to smash the glass-fronted door to the shop in Fore Street and stole what was described as ‘lots of stock’ before driving away in a vehicle believed to be a dark blue Ford Ka.
The shop plans to stay closed today, but is expected to reopen tomorrow.
It is understood that the raiders deliberately targeted clothes as the till remained untouched.
