DEVON and Cornwall Police have advised people to be aware of any unexpected callers looking for scrap.

At approximately noon on Monday, September 19, a farmer in the Chillington area noticed a navy blue Toyota Hilux pick-up truck driving at speed, with a copper water tank in the back. When he returned back to his property, the farmer noticed his tank was missing.

The driver is described as 45-55 years old and of large build.

Police have asked people to be vigilant and report promptly if persons visit your property asking for scrap.
