A man was airlifted to Derriford Hospital from Churchstow by an air ambulance on Friday afternoon, after it was reported he had fallen through a roof.

Devon Air Ambulance Trust confirmed they received the call at 12.11pm, and sent their Exeter aircraft to South Hams Business Park in Churchstow.

Kingsbridge Police attended at about 1.30pm along with other emergency services.

The police have said that the casualty is in Derriford Hospital where “he remains in a critical but stable condition”.

Detectives later attended to investigate the incident on behalf of the Health and Safety Executive.

A spokesman for Kingsbridge Police said: “Our best wishes to the man involved and we hope he makes a full recovery.”
