Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the little train will be running this weekend for the Welly Beer Festival on Sunday.
The project to get the little train back to Kingsbridge, which began with the launch of the Kingsbridge and District Light Railway Company by Steve Mammatt back in 2014, will hopefully culminate in the train being available for passengers this bank holiday weekend.
Steve said: “We’re aiming to get it ready for the Welly Beer Festival, and it looks like we’re on target. There could be a snag or some unforeseen circumstances, and its down to our tarmacing contractors now, but we’re all here working away to get it ready.”
The Welly Beer Festival is taking place on Sunday, May 28, at the Creek’s End, with beer, cider, gin tasting and live music. The event raises funds for research into Motor Neurone Disease.
