Salcombe Town Council are holding a public meeting to discuss the future of The Berry and other parklands in the town on Tuesday, October 3.

The meeting will be held at 7pm in the hall at Cliff House, Cliff Road. All residents are welcome, to enable the council to understand the views of the town. The Council will be able to inform the residents about the options available for the parklands in Salcombe and about the discussions that have previously been had with South Hams District Council.

The Council want to explain that before going any further, surveyors reports will need to be obtained on the condition of areas such as the Cliff House Gardens estuary wall. This will enable them to evaluate the cost of maintaining these areas. For these considerations, the Council have asked for their solicitor to attend the meeting to answer residents questions about the legal positions available.

All those interested are welcome to attend, to understand the legal position of the Council and to voice their opinions on the matter directly to the Councillors.
