LAST month, Ron Taylor married Caryl Barons at Follaton House in Totnes.

Ron and Caryl, who are both retired and live in West Charleton, met 30 years ago in East Allington.

After an extended engagement, they got married on Saturday, December 19, followed by a reception at Ranscombe Manor near Kingsbridge.

Ron is owner of the Oasis Cafe on Fore Street in Kingsbridge, and before that ran the fruit and vegetable shop Kingsbridge Fruiteries on Duke Street for around 25 years.

Caryl was given away by her son, Jonathan Barons who now runs the Oasis Cafe. The couple are now planning to go away on a honeymoon later this year.
