Merry Go Round Preschool in Stokenham raised £600 at a charity quiz night held in the Bear and Blacksmith in Chilington last week.

A spokesman for the preschool said: ‘We would like to thank everyone who came.

‘Everyone had a great night testing their knowledge with some rather tricky quiz questions while eating deliciously tasty fish and chips.

‘The Bear and Blacksmith kindly hosted our charity quiz and supported our raffle by donating a prize of another tasty meal for two at the Bear and Blacksmith.

‘We would like to also thank the generosity of Martyn Norsworthy Photography in Kingsbridge and Dick and Wills restaurant in Salcombe, who also donated fabulous prizes.

‘Thank you to everyone that came to have fun and supported Merry Go Round Preschool charity.

‘We hope to see you all at the next quiz at the end of April.’
