A South Hams primary school is holding an open morning to give newcomers a taste of “how amazing the school is”.

Salcombe Primary School’s headteacher, Andy Pugsley, is inviting prospective parents to join in the school’s open morning on Monday, November 26.

During the morning, Mr Pugsley will discuss the school’s ethos and what they do, followed by a tour of the school by the head boy and head girl. The morning will end with a chance to ask Mr Pugsley any further questions.

Mr Pugsley said: “We consider our school to be like a big family. At Salcombe Primary School we class our school community as ‘Team Salcombe’, which includes children, staff, parents/carers and all of the local community.

“Our aim is to work with all members of the school community, as one, to give the children the very best education. We aim for every child to have a happy and active primary education in an environment that is caring and supporting.

“We aim to provide a stimulating and structured environment concern with the moral, academic, social and spiritual education in which all children are encouraged to reach their full potential.”
