Kingsbridge a cappella chorus, Panache, are performing in Galmpton this weekend to help raise funds for the church.
Panache will be performing at Galmpton Church on Saturday, September 30, starting at 7pm for 7.30pm, to help raise funds for the completion of the new car parking area as well as maintenance of the church fabric.
Concert organiser, Lindsey Fletcher, said: “Panache, a close harmony choir, have been singing together since 1998 and have recently achieved a distinction award at Torbay Music Festival. Their varied repertoire includes ballads, popular “up” songs and Gospel.
“Also appearing with Panache will be celebrated local organist Trevor Becker who will entertain with a selection of classics which we know and love.”
Visitors will be welcomed by Malborough musical duo Jayne Brannan and Ed Hill on violin and guitar.
Churchwarden Clive Higgs said: “We are really looking forward to a fun night of music to help raise funds as there are always repairs to be carried out to maintain and improve the building not only for the community but also to allow us to hire out the church for schools, day retreats and meetings which helps us financially.
“The refurbishment of the Parsonage is now nearing completion and we hope to start advertising for a new priest very soon”
Tickets are available on the door and cost £8 each. There will be a raffle with prizes being kindly donated by local businesses and light refreshments will be available.
