I would like to endorse the sentiments expressed by our hard-working and conscientious MP, Dr Sarah Wollaston, on the regrettable and tasteless prank of erecting a ‘coffin’ outside her office in Totnes. There is no MP who does more to try to sort out the many problems of the NHS than she, and this kind of behaviour towards her is deplorable.

Not only that, but, according to a recent article in The Observer, she has received further abuse because of her courage in voting against the Government on the Brexit issue, which caused it to suffer a narrow defeat recently.

We need independent-minded MPs such as Dr Wollaston and there is no place in British politics for mindless abuse.
