The cast for this season’s KATS musical Fiddler on the Roof features 13 KCC students.

Kingsbridge Amateur Theatrical Society are putting on Fiddler on the Roof this month at the Malborough Village Hall, with a cast of 44 talented local people, with 13 being current Kingsbridge Community College students.

Many cast members are stalwarts of the society but many are performing with the group for the first time.

Playing the eponymous role of the Fiddler is Gracie Seldon. Other students featured in the production are Lucy Booker, Ella Crossland, Dan Sinclair, Tommy Booker, Kirsty Bonner, Isla McColl, Libby Sheard, Ben Sheard, Freya Harrow, Jonathan Cardrick, Archie Feetenby and Felicity Bonner.

Some members of the cast spent an afternoon at Cookworthy Museum in Kingsbridge, which really helped them to get into character and to appreciate how hard life was in the period when Fiddler is set.

Fiddler on the Roof features an Oscar winning score with wonderful numbers including Tradition, To Life, Sunrise Sunset and Matchmaker and is being performed at Marlborough Village Hall from March 20 to 24.

Tickets are available from www.kats-kingsbridge.co.uk or from Kingsbridge Information Centre.
