Residents of Highfield Drive have been left frustrated after another water leak caused disruption to homes, less than a month after a previous incident on the road.
A vacuum excavator was brought in to carry out overnight work at the site, with residents sharing images and video on social media.
The latest incident prompted concerns about water wastage, with one resident claiming it was the second time in the past month that a leak had occurred in Highfield Drive.
Others reported intermittent brown water in their homes, while some experienced reduced water pressure.
South West Water reportedly sent a text message to residents saying their water supply had been restored, although one household said there was still no water pressure in its kitchen after receiving the notification.
The repeated disruption also prompted questions about why water pipes had not been replaced when the gas network was dug up across the estate some years ago.
A spokesperson for South West Water said: "We were alerted to this leak last night and the issue was resolved in the early hours this morning."
