Kingsbridge resident Marjorie Fairhurst has celebrated her 100th birthday in style-alongside friends and family at the Mill Club.
A large party was held in honour of her birthday on Saturday, September 30.
After living here for 50 years, specifically at Welle House Gardens for 30 years, she really loves the town and the people of Kingsbridge.
Marjorie is well known in the area after working at Combe Royal and Overleat Care and Residential home as well as her membership of the Royal British Legion-especially the darts team.
Jacky Ford, her daughter said how: “she thoroughly enjoys singing and outings, with a very positive and young outlook on life. When asked how old she is, she invariably replies 21.”
Living at Welle House Gardens, Marjorie is very lucky to have kind neighbours and many supportive friends.
A wonderful time was had by all who attended including Marjorie’s twin daughters- Jacky Ford and Judith Lavender, grandson Chris Lee and six great grand children.
Marjorie and her family would like to thank everyone for coming on Saturday and all who wished her a happy birthday.
