KINGSBRIDGE Community College students celebrated their A-Level results last Thursday, with Principal Roger Pope calling them ‘an inspiration’.
This year’s results were the second best ever achieved at KCC, with 64 per cent of the grades being A*, A or B.
Four of the students gained places at Oxford and Cambridge, the highest ever achieved. Daisy Hughes and Zoe Weeks are both reading Biological Sciences at Oxford, both achieving a clean sweep of four A* grades. Anna Valentine gained A* grades in Geography, English Literature and Biology and is going to read Geography at Oxford, and Elin Falla gained two A*s and two A grades to secure her place at Cambridge in Natural Sciences.

A starred distinction in vocational subjects is the equivalent of an A grade at A level. Marc Alen gained two D*s and an A; Sorcha Alford a D* and two As; Helena Dore gained an A*, A and B; Tilly Durant two As and a D*.
Dom Blount, Luke Lane Prokopiou, Matt Makepiece, Alex Pears, Max Perez Garcia, Tom Pilling, Henry Singer, Jordan Wallace and Olivia White all gained at least three D*s.
