Children have excitedly entered their brand new school for the first time yesterday morning.
Pupils of Loddiswell Primary School walked into their new school on Monday, April 16, after watching it being built since the turf cutting ceremony in July last year.
Loddiswell Primary School has been keen on a new school site for decades and the building of the new estate at the top of the village included an area for the site given to the school by Paul Harvey and his family.
Sue Jezzard, executive headteacher, said that the recent rain had delayed the groundworks, playing field and outdoor areas, but the children still had use of the playground and work would be completed "hopefully" by September.
