Several people have contacted the Gazette to ask what happened to the rubbish bin that used to live by the benches at the top of Duncombe Street in Kingsbridge.
This followed a spate of dog mess blighting the town, particularly on Duncombe Street and Fore Street.
A spokesperson from South Hams District Council said: “The dog bin that was in Duncombe Street, Kingsbridge was removed because it was damaged. We believe it was hit by a van. We can confirm that a replacement bin has been ordered.”
SHDC have said that members of the public can report dog fouling to them online at www.southhams.gov.uk by searching for ‘report dog fouling.’
