NOMINATIONS for this years Youth and Business Achievement Awards must be in by 10am on Wednesday, November 16.
The awards, known as the YABAAs, are run by the 16-24 Work Club, Kingsbridge, and ‘recognise, celebrate and inspire local 16–24-year-olds and local businesses to continue to jointly building a positive productive community to work and live in.’

The awards are open to all 16-14-year-olds in the local area and highlight the importance of ensuring young people are ‘work ready’, blending the benefits of external and in-house training, online learning and apprenticeships.
The seven awards to be given will be Apprentice of the Year - sponsored by Sabre Financial, Apprentice Employer of the Year, Learner of the Year - sponsored by Pebbles of Salcombe, Mentor/Volunteer/Enabler of the Year - sponsored by Hair Advice Centre, the Most Entrepreneurial 16-24-year-old - sponsored by the Victoria Inn, and the Jack Tanner Legacy Award for an exceptionally inspiring 16–24-year-old, who has motivated others to reach their potential.
The judges will be Susan Fish - chairman of Spiritulized Trustees, Simon Gotch - chairman of Skills Training UK and Samantha Short – manager of Kingsbridge Information Centre and vice chair of Salcombe and Kingsbridge Chamber of Commerce.
