Beers Solicitors have announced the winners of their photography competition for artwork for their reception area.

The winner over the Over 18 category, Clifton Ticehurst, received a cheque for £200 as the top prize for his photo ‘Hope Cove’, while runner up Jeremy Willcocks received a cheque for £100 for ‘Kingsbridge’.

The competition will be judged in three categories, Category One – primary school pupils, Category Two - secondary school pupils, up to and including Sixth Form or similar, and Category Three - all members of the public aged 18 and over.

Joint third place was split between ‘Coming Home’ by Morwenna Mullen and ‘Railway Bridge’ by Gill Mathews, and Ellie Ryder won the Primary School category, with her photo of the Kingsbridge Estuary.

Sue Symons, Beers Solicitors, said: “Following the refurbishment of the reception and ground floor at our offices at 29 Fore Street, Kingsbridge we decided to create a display capturing the local landscape and/or everyday living in Kingsbridge and its surrounding areas.

“Hence we held a photography competition which was open to all Schools, Colleges and members of the public with the winning and runner-up photographs in each category being made into a canvas print and displayed at our offices at 29 Fore Street, Kingsbridge.

“The judging took place in November and the winning entries are now on display in our reception area in Kingsbridge.”
