The Dartmoor home of Ann Widdecombe is up for sale at £900,000.
The former Tory politician was unlawfully killed at her home at Haytor Vale this summer.
She was found dead in her kitchen on July 9 by her gardener and had suffered severe head injuries.
A man, 28-year-old Joshua Kerry, of Rotherham in South Yorkshire, has been charged with her murder and is due to stand trial next year.
The spacious bungalow is being marketed by Knight Frank and comes complete with a swimming pool.
A total of seventeen pictures of the property are included with the particulars, showing spectacular views and a spacious interior.
The property is marketed under what is apparently its original name, Thurlecot. It was known as ‘Widdecombe’s Rest’, named by the high-profile former Tory MP turned Reform supporter who moved here after retiring from mainstream politics in 2010.
She came to live on Dartmoor because she loved the area, where her parents grew up.
The property particulars include an agent’s note which reads: “A significant event occurred at the property in 2026 involving the unlawful death of an occupant. Further details can be provided by the agent.”
Elaborating on what the property has to offer, the particulars state: “Thurlecot is situated off a quiet road through this hamlet and within an easy walk up onto the open moor, facing south and surrounded by its gardens offering peace and privacy.
“The entrance drive leads up to a broad parking and turning area in front of the house and, off the entrance hall, is the spacious and light sitting room with fireplace with decorative surround and a lovely outlook over the gardens and beyond.”
The description goes on to describe the politician’s stylish kitchen, complete with her beloved AGA, where she had been photographed in happier times.
The property has a large library and dining room along with an office and store room. It was from here that Ann Widdecombe appeared via video link on a broadcast, speaking in defence of Nigel Farage, Reform UK leader, on the morning of her death.
The property is an easy stroll to the Rock Inn, The Moorland Hotel and the granite outcrop of Haytor Rocks. Miss Widdecombe loved to walk on the moor near her home.
