The Royal British Legion Kingsbridge and District Branch would like to invite people to a commemoration of the 75th Anniversary of the Battle of El Alamein next week.

On Friday, October 20, people are welcome to attend the wreath laying and short service at The War Memorial at 10.30am.

Rev. Jackie Taylor who will be conducting the service will additionally be dedicating a few words to the stone which has been erected on the memorial for WW1 Soldier Private Sidney Rogers.

Unfortunately his name was left off the memorial at Dodbrook and the memorial along the estuary.

Refreshments will be available afterwards at the Mill Club for anyone who would like to join.
