Devon and Cornwall Police revealed today (Friday) that a murder investigation was under way after the death of the MP Ann Widdecombe at her Devon home.

They that the former MP and former MEP died with “serious” injuries.

They later revealed a 26-year-old white British man was arrested today in Newton Abbot.
