A driver has pleaded guilty to failing to stop and driving without due care and attention after hitting a police officer with a van.
Arron Green, 51, of Apple Tree Close, Frogmore, was driving a Mercedes Sprinter van at the time he hit Kingsbridge-based PSCO O’Dwyer and injured him on August 6, last year, in Market Street, Salcombe.
Green was fined a total of £570 and ordered to pay a £40 victim surcharge, plus £620 costs, by Newton Abbot magistrates last Friday, April 13. His licence was endorsed with eight penalty points.
