A CHILLINGTON resident has been disqualified from driving for 22 months and ordered to pay £235 after admitting to drink-driving.
Ian Mason, 33, of Lily Cottages, Chillington, was charged with driving his MG ZR on Embankment Road, Kingsbridge, while under the influence of alcohol on November 9. He was recorded as having 77 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35mg/100ml.
He pleaded guilty on November 30, at Torquay Magistrates Court and was disqualified for driving for 22 months, reduced by 22 weeks if he completes an awareness course by February 28, 2017.
He was also ordered to pay a fine of £120, a victim services charge of £30 and £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.
